Rhubarb
To easily cut rhubarb, use kitchen shears instead of a knife. Trim off base of stem, and remove leafy top. Chunk and cook with a bit of water and sugar to taste for a rhubarb sauce to top everything from ice cream to pound cake. Sprinkle chunked rhubarb with oatmeal, flour, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for a delicious rhubarb crisp. Or, sprinkle chunked rhubarb with sugar and cinnamon for a favorite pie filling.
